190 Stunning Barbados Villa | Sleeps 8

This beautiful and modern villa is ideally located in the exclusive Royal Westmoreland Golf Resort in Barbados and is a perfect family retreat with 4 air conditioned spacious bedrooms and a private plunge pool. Royal Westmoreland is set just a few minutes drive from the stunning west coast beaches and whilst staying at Westmoreland, guests have access to the social membership which additionally offers (all within a 5 minute walk) a large members only swimming pool with children's pool and hot tub, a large and well equipped gym, tennis courts , Club House with bar and restaurant and the Rum Shack restaurant and bar. Guests can also enjoy the use of the Beach Club at Mullins Beach where there are a number of restaurants, bars and plenty of water sports. There is a private Westmoreland mini-bus service down to Mullins Beach throughout the day. Royal Westmoreland golf course is ranked firmly inside the world's top 100 golf courses and is just a 2 minute walk from the villa. A par 72, 7,045 -yard course which is said to have the best set of par 3s in the Caribbean. The course has stunning views out towards the sea and the old colonial style clubhouse is the perfect setting for the 19th hole overlooking the 18th and the Caribbean sea.

Accommodation

The Villa has an ideal layout for families and groups. The kitchen and living area are upstairs with beautiful views over the golf course and towards the sea. The kitchen is well equipped with all the appliances you could require including Miele fridge/freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher etc. There is a large Flat screen TV (with American/UK channels as well as Netflix etc. There are large sofas and bar stools for around the island. There is also a small study area with desk and printer with WIFI throughout the villa.

From this spacious living area, there are two sets of sliding doors opening onto a full length covered dining terrace where there is more comfy seating and a dining table that seats 8 comfortably. A spectacular place to watch the sunsets!

The bedrooms are split over two floors and all have air conditioning.

• Bedroom 1 (Master) has a 240cm bed, dressing area and an en-suite with bath and large walk in shower. There are double doors opening onto the pool terrace.
• Bedroom 2 has a 180cm bed with fitted wardrobes. There are double doors opening onto the pool terrace.
• Bedroom 3 has twin beds with fitted wardrobes and overlooks the front garden.
• In between Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3, there is a shared family shower room with shower.
• Bedroom 4 has a 180cm bed with fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower room and has a double aspect to the front and side gardens.

Although set in this active resort, the villa is at the end of a quiet cul de sac and has the benefit of a corner plot. There is off street parking and parking for a golf buggy.

The plunge pool is 3.5 m x 2m (approx) and there are 4 recliners and a L shaped seating area offering flexibility for the group. Unlike many of the other similar properties, there is an extended terrace offering a dining area with table and seating for 8, a large Webber gas BBQ and Ooni Pizza oven. There is a separate Laundry room with large washing machine and tumble dryer as well as an additional American Fridge Freezer with an ice-maker.

Royal Westmoreland is a private gated estate set in the St James area of Barbados, just a few minutes drive down to the stunning west coast beaches. Holetown is the nearest town and offers supermarkets , restaurants, bars and shops. The beautiful Chattel house village is a must to visit. The capital of Barbados, Bridgetown is a 20 minute drive. During a visit to Barbados, there are many places to explore. A 30 minute drive will take you over the hills and onto the East Coast where the Atlantic beaches have rolling waves and are ideal fo the surfers. If you can drag yourself away from the pool or beaches, there are plenty of places to visit. Some people like to book an Island tour and then go back to certain areas to spend more time. A visit to a rum distillery is a must whether it be Mount Gay, Four Square or one of the smaller makers. The tropical gardens are incredible and one of the more well known ones is Hunte's Gardens in the centre of the Island. Then there are the caves, catamaran tours, diving with turtles, Wildlife reserves, all the watersports, sports such as golf, polo, horse racing and the list goes on.

Getting Here

The International Airport of Grantley Adams is on the edge of Bridgetown and is approximately 40 minutes from Royal Westmoreland. There are 25 cities with non-stop flights into Barbados including from London with BA and Virgin Atlantic, Manchester with Virgin Atlantic and Aer Lingus, Miami with American, Toronto with Air Canada and West Jet and New York with JetBlue and United. There are also inter Island flights if you wish to include Barbados as part of the Caribbean tour.
