Accommodation
There are 4 bedrooms in this Cottage. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor which are a double bedroom and a twin bedroom which share a bathroom with double sinks and separate WC. There are then a further two bedrooms on the first floor, one of which is double bedroom with a cot and the second is a triple bedroom. These bedrooms share a shower room, double sinks and a separate WC.
Cottage 2
Cottage 2 has its own open plan kitchen and living area with dining for 4 guests. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a sofa, log burner and television in the living area. There are 2 bedrooms in Cottage 2. The master bedroom is on the ground floor and is a king size bedroom with a 4 poster bed. There is a bathroom with bath and separate shower just next door to the bedroom. The second bedroom is on the first floor and is idea for children as it is a twin bedroom.
Both cottages have WIFI and the linen and towels provided are of a luxury quality. There is electric heating and the cottages are double glazed throughout.
Outside Living
Each property has a built in BBQ and outdoor dining tables and terraces. There are recliners for all guests situated around each swimming pool. Both swimming pools are heated and one is 10m x 5m and the other is 9m x 4m in size.. Each property has a table tennis table and there is a children’s swing area on Cottage 2 side. Both properties have beautiful lawned areas ideal for ball games.
Cottage 1
Cottage 1 has a covered terrace and then patio doors that open into the kitchen and living area. The kitchen is well equipped with all the modern conveniences and there is a table that can seat 8. The living area is open plan and has sofas and a fire as well as a television.There are 4 bedrooms in this Cottage. The Cottages are set down a tree lined private road and are completely private yet just a short walk into the village of Biron where you will find a restaurant and shop which serves as a Depot de pain as well for your morning bread and croissant. The chateau is magnificent and throughout the year holds events such as concerts and plays.
The cottages are in the heart of the Dordogne countryside and are surrounded by many stunning medieval and bastide villages such as Monpazier (6km) and Villereal (10km). Chateau Biron is a must see whilst you visit as well as the Chateau at Gavaudun. Sarlat is an hour away with many plenty villages on route such as Saint Cyprien, La Roque Gageac and Domme.
Getting Here
The Cottages are easily accessed by air, train and car. Biron is an ideal location in the Perigord countryside with easy accessibility. Bergerac is a 40 minute drive from the cottages with the river Dordogne and an International Airport flying in from the UK ( Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, London City, London Stansted, Manchester and Southampton) Belgium and Holland with British Airways, Ryanair and Transavia. Both Toulouse and Bordeaux are approximately a 2hr and 25 minute drive away as well which are much larger airports. The TGV stops at Libourne (60 minutes) away.
