Accommodation

The Manoir offers accommodation for up to 20 guests plus infants. The reception rooms are elegant and spacious, and spill out to the outside terraces where you have views over the private lake and mature grounds. The accomodation is split between the Manoir (8 bedrooms) and the Pigeonnier (2 bedrooms) .

The Manoir

The Entrance Hall is in the centre of the property and opens up onto a beautiful terrace. To the left is the Kitchen and Dining Room and to the right is a large Living Room and Library with the ground floor bedroom at the end.

The Kitchen is well equipped including two dishwashers and a large gas range oven. The Living Room is spacious with plenty of seating for large groups as well as a large plasma screen TV. The Dining Room can seat up to 20 guests but is normally set for 14. The Library has recently been renovated and offers a quiet space away from the main living areas.

The eight Manor bedrooms are all of a good size and 6 have en-suites (in addition 1 has a private bathroom next door to the bedroom).

There are four main bedrooms are on the first floor:

• Bedroom 1 is a king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
• Bedroom 3 is a King-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room.
• Bedroom 4 can either be a Super King-size bedroom or two twin beds with an en-suite shower room.
• Bedroom 2 is a twin room with an en-suite shower room.

• Bedroom 7 is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. There is also an additional single bed plus small sofa bed in this room.
• Bedroom 6 is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room.
• Bedroom 5 is a twin room with a private bathroom.

• Bedroom 8 is on the ground floor and is a self contained annex with a double bedroom, a shower room off the library as well as a small kitchen and an access to the walled garden.

• A vaulted Living Room and equipped kitchen with a dining area
• Bedroom 9 is a double bedroom
• Bedroom 10 is a twin bedroom (but the beds can be placed together to make a Super King).
• Family bathroom with bath
• Private walled garden

Outdoor Living

You approach the Manoir through formal gates, down a beautiful driveway with the old stables to the left. There is a large parking area in front of the Manoir. The Manoir is set in grounds of approximately 2.6 hectares and includes terraces, meadows, woodland and a beautiful private lake. The large 12m x 6m swimming pool is heated and the tennis court is surrounded by trees for shade. There is a gas BBQ and dining outside for up to 20 guests. There is also a table tennis table for guests to use.

Local Area

The large Dordogne riverside town of Bergerac is just a 10 minute drive away with all the amenities you could want including the old town and beautiful old quay. There are weekly morning markets on a Saturday and Wednesday morning as well as many special events and celebrations taking place during the year. There are activities to suit all ages and interests, foodies will enjoy the great local restaurants at the heart of France's centre of gastronomic excellence, as well as the wine of AOC Bergerac. The area has been described as the capital of world prehistory, and culture vultures are spoilt for choice with caves, museums and chateaux aplenty.

Getting Here

The Chateau is ideally positioned, just a 10 minute drive from Bergerac International Airport making it an easy final destination. Ryanair flies here from London Stansted, Liverpool, Leeds Bradford, Bristol, Bournemouth, East Midlands and Edinburgh. British Airways flies from London City Airport, London Stanstead and Southampton. The larger airport at Bordeaux is a 1 hour 30 minutes drive away with many more international flights.
