This exquisite 18th century Chateau is set within its own moat offering complete privacy and tranquillity with a stunning courtyard to the front and gardens and pool area to the back. Yet it is just a short drive to the beautiful bastide village of Villereal with many shops, restaurants and bars.
Recently renovated to the highest of quality, the accommodation is spacious and luxurious. It has been extremely well thought out and is perfect for large family groups.
The facilities are abundant with a full Gym, Games Room and Snooker Room. All linen and towels are hotel standard.
Accommodation
Through an impressive front door, you enter into the Entrance Hall which runs the depth of the Chateau with the most stunning staircase that leads up to the first floor where 6 of the bedrooms are situated. From here, you can enter the Kitchen which is on your right and the Family Room which is on the left. Moving further into the second part of the Entrance Hallway is a separate area which has a central table and impressive chimney. From here, on the left, you will find the Drawing Room and through this room is the Snooker Room. To the right of this second hall is the Dining Room that seats 14 guests easily.
The recently renovated Kitchen is out of this world. A large range oven (with hot water tap), an additional oven, large Fridge Freezer, pantry cupboards and a large island that seats 6 at a bar area. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with all the modern conveniences you could require. It also has access to the Snug which has comfy sofas and a large TV. There is also a Utility Room with a dog shower as dogs are welcomed on request.
The Chateau is full of the beautiful lighting, antique mirrors and soft furnishings which ooze luxury and charm.
In the Courtyard are a selection of charming outbuildings. One of these houses the very well equipped Gym which has rowing machine, Peloton bike, weight machine, free weights, ballet bar to mention a few of the facilities. There is also a Games Room with table tennis, babyfoot and chill out area, ideal for children and adults alike.
Bedrooms
Six of the bedrooms are on the first floor of the Chateau and the seventh bedroom is on ground floor level in the courtyard to the front of the Chateau.
Each bedroom has hotel standard beds, beautiful furniture and views over the French countryside. There are toiletries in each en-suite. The bedrooms are set out as follows.

Outside Living
Set in the midst of rolling countryside with views over woodland and meadows, this chateau is designed for outside living.
A tree lined driveway leads up from the country lane towards the Chateau. Before entering the through the impressive gates, you cross over the moat which circles around the chateau, outbuildings and inner garden. The front courtyard offers the most delightful dining area with a large dining table set under the trees for shade. To the right of the chateau is a chill out area with beanbags. There is a large gas BBQ and Oona pizza oven.
A short walk over the moat is the heated saltwater pool which is 14m x 5m. The pool area which is self contained has a shower and WC. Around the pool is terraced with plenty of recliners and parasols. There is currently a fence around the swimming pool for safety. If you can drag yourself away from the pool, there are beautiful walks throughout the grounds.

Set midway between Beaumont, Monpazier and Castillonnes, this chateau sits on the Dordogne/Lot et Garonne borders. A 4km drive away is the town of Villereal with its covered market square and shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants.
The village of Villereal has a weekly morning market each Saturday throughout the year and during the summer months there is an additional night market on a Monday as well as many other different fetes and celebrations.
Within a short drive are many beautiful medieval villages such as Castillonnes, Beaumont, issigeac and Monflanquin. The Dordogne riverside town of Bergerac is just a 30 minute drive to the north.
Slightly further afield but definitely worth a day trip out to are the towns of La Bugue, Domme and Sarlat to the east and St Emilion and Bordeaux to the west.
There are activities to suit all ages and interests, foodies will enjoy the great local restaurants at the heart of France's centre of gastronomic excellence, as well as the wine of AOC Bergerac. The area has been described as the capital of world prehistory, and there is much culture to enjoy such as museums, caves, abbeys and chateaux aplenty.
Getting Here
The Dordogne riverside town of Bergerac with its International Airport is just a 35 minute drive north. The chateau also has easy access to two larger airports of Bordeaux and Toulouse. Both are approximately a 2hr 15 minute drive away.
Bergerac train station is approximately 45 minutes to the North with easy access to Bordeaux from where there are high speed trains to Paris and other destinations.
